A mechanical hubodometer, commonly known as a hubo, is fitted directly onto the wheel hub and records distance travelled by tracking wheel rotations.

With Smart eRUC Heavy:

• the mechanical hubo remains the primary source of distance tracking

• Drivers use the Check Sheet app to record key RUC information, including:

• Current odometer reading

• Current hubodometer reading

• Maximum distance covered by the current RUC licence

Instead of using a traditional mechanical hubo, Smart Hubo uses:

The Smart Hubo Wheel Sensor records actual wheel revolutions to accurately track distance travelled. That information is then uploaded automatically to the Argus platform through the Smart Hubo Gate Reader.

When the vehicle returns to base, the wheel sensor sends distance data to the Smart Hubo Gate Reader, which uploads the information to the Argus Tracking portal.
